The seventh Contemporary Dance Festival will be held from October 28 to November 16, 2014, bringing artists from different countries together in Sao Paulo

The Contemporary Dance Festival is devoted to the new production in contemporary dance, making exchanges between artists from Brazil and foreign countries.

The Festival works as a meeting point connecting long-standing artists, new creators and theorists, settling partnerships, considering the audience to be co-participant in the artistic experience and understanding dance as production of shared knowledge.

In the first edition in 2008, the Festival was awarded by APCA (São Paulo Art Critics Association) for production, dissemination and training in dance.

In addition to the presentations, the Festival holds a series of public meetings with artists and workshops for students and dance professionals. The festival contributed to form critic public in contemporary dance by approaching the spectators to the artist´s creation procedures.

The artistic director of Contemporary Dance Festival is the choreographer Adriana Grechi. The general director is project manager Amaury Cacciacarro Filho.

The seventh edition of the Festival will be held from October 28 to November 16, 2014, in Olido Gallery, CCSP, CFCCT, Sesc Santana and FUNARTE in São Paulo .
